Take a look. No other manufacturer comes close to the quality and design of the 2bular catalysers.
I use a 121mm diameter HJS Directional 200cell catalyser. Rated to Euro 5/6 specifications, it has the legendary build-quality from the German manufacturer with 5 times the weight in coatings of the rare metals required for the catalysing process compared to the cheaper aftermarket offerings, will easily meet any emissions tests, yet still improve gas-flow and performance.
It uses a pressed stainless gasket cup at the factory manifold flange, with a stainless reducer to guide the gas down the correct bore downpipe - 63.5mm diameter.
Other designs I see use a 70mm (or 76mm!) pipe because you can form the gasket cup from that size and just leave the flange loose(!) so no need for any TIG-welding or reducer. Lazy, lazy cheap people. I use 70mm diameter on the 350bhp supercharged V6 - NOT on a 1.8Ltr, 4-cylinder motor!
This 2bular catalyser is a straight swap for the factory part.
