Designed specifically for the characteristics of the MP45 supercharger, this stepped manifold (header) design uses 3 different diameters in its layout. I use a laser-cut, 10mm thick stainless steel head flange with expansion slots to control warpage but still give the required extra rigidity with the longer pipework.
I always use hand fabricated, high-quality merged collectors on my manifolds - (no squashed pieces of tin). They are fully TIG-welded, keep turbulence low and enhance the gas-flow characteristics. No slip-ons, no springs - no leaks! The T4 ECU does not like leaky manifolds!
All the pipe sizes are chosen for the Elise SC systems that 2bular specifically manufacture for this motor. No other aftermarket tuner/supplier offers this degree of customisation.
IF YOU USE THE SAME BIG-BORE MANIFOLD (HEADER) AND SYSTEM AS THE MP62 CARS, YOU LOSE BOOST - AND THAT RESULTS IN LOSS OF POWER/TORQUE. ONLY 2BULAR BUILD DIFFERENT MANIFOLDS FOR THE DIFFERENT SUPERCHARGERS.
Catalyser: In keeping with the renowned 2bular quality, I use the 200cell HJS HD directional flow catalyser. Made in Germany, it is recognised as the best catalyser in the World. Used as OEM supplier to all the Supercar manufacturers. It is the highest spec- Euro 6. A 121mm diameter catalyser - it has heavy coatings of the precious metals used in catalysers and it means you will meet any emissions tests. The Lotus ECU accepts it - with no CEL's. Don't settle for less.
AFTER MUCH TESTING I HAVE DECIDED TO OFFER THE NTK O2 SENSOR WITH THIS MANIFOLD + CATALYSER. RELIABILITY AND PERFORMANCE HAVE BEEN EXCELLENT.
