I'm sometimes asked for a LOUDER system than the factory exhaust - or a LIGHTER system for the track. I much prefer to build lightweight race-style systems for the real enthusiast. NOT TITANIUM - that material is unsuitable for Lotus installs. The scream from this exhaust at maximum revs is seriously hard-core but you can drive through town/suburbs without attracting undue attention. There is no dronnnnnnne.
If you look at the exhaust valve on the factory exhausts, you'll see that Lotus has gone to some trouble to position the vacuum chamber away from the silencer - HEAT is the enemy. I decided the best strategy was to remove that valve AND its associated pipework altogether. Losing 6Kgs is always a good move!
So, that's no packing materials, no exhaust valve or pipework and using a smaller silencer with an 8" x 5" (200mm x 125mm) end-plate brings this system down to the factory Titanium exhaust weight! With a unique internal design featuring a hand-rolled core pipe and twin resonance chambers this exhaust really makes the car sound like it looks! THIS SYSTEM IS NOW BEING RUN IN THE LOTUS CUP EUROPE SERIES.

The tailpipe module with its beautiful merge collector is connected to the system by a V-band to allow full adjustability in the diffuser aperture. 100mm diameter lightweight Stainless tips are supplied.
